Max Laurence-Gutteridge is our Show Director at the Wedding Media Group. What Max doesn’t know about running a show isn’t worth knowing – he has been operating and worked with high-profile events for the last ten years, and before that headed up business development at Harrods. Grand Designs Live, The National Wedding Shows, Spring Fair and Autumn Fair and Professional Beauty have all been nurtured by Max, until he decided to go his own way in 2019 and came back to the wonderful world of weddings.
Pippa Florijn is an experienced wedding industry professional, with a flair for sales and marketing. She headed up Wedding Ideas and the British Wedding Awards for ten years, and has also worked on trade publications and international shows and bridal fashion weeks across the globe. Pippa build relationships like no other in the industry and also loves to dabble in the creative side of our marketing. Pippa has recently returned from life in France and now lives in Devon with her husband, daughter and menagerie of pets.
Rachel Darke owned, edited and published Wedding Ideas for 15 years until selling it in 2016 and spending a subsequent few years nurturing a career as a freelance editor, writing features for a wide range of publications including Harpers Bazaar and Hello! magazine. Rachel has appeared on TV and radio numerous times, and is regularly wheeled out to comment on celebrity and royal weddings. Rachel lives in Somerset, pretty close to Pippa for much food, fun and forays through the country lanes with all the dogs.
Katie Fox is one of the most experienced PRs in the bridal business having worked the National Wedding Show and White Gallery London for many years. She has worked with a diverse range of brands and industry-leading events, and in recent years has built a successful career as a freelance PR. When Katie isn’t busy shouting from the rooftops about how brilliant the Wedding Media Group is, she is chasing around after her energetic young twins and enjoying fun days out, making the most of the great outdoors and discovering cosy country pubs in the Cotswolds. Katie lives in Hertfordshire.
Lucy Oliver-Cox spent eleven years heading up both consumer and bridal trade shows at the highest level of operations at Ocean Media, so no-one knows how to put on a great show quite like Lucy does. Full of amazing positive energy and an absolute mine of information about every aspect of staging successful events, Lucy manages to juggle this with busy family life, as mum of two young children. Lucy lives in the beautiful Cotswolds and yes, we’re jealous!
Jude Coverdale works on the sales side of the business, having worked on high footfall events throughout her career, where she has been involved with organising so many random and bizarre things that nothing surprises her anymore. Jude loves working in weddings, and especially at the Wedding Media Group where Jude excels at building and maintaining strong and lasting client relationships. When she’s not at work, Jude is mum to three lively young boys.
Amerah Bashir is Jude’s colleague in sales and also has vast experience of working in events – everything from ideal Home to This Morning Live. Spending 15 years running her own business, including a series of local shows, Amerah loves to be schmoozing with the industry’s best and loves being part of something so new, big and exciting. Amerah is based in London and counts walking and sun worshipping as her passions – she would happily follow the sun to Dubai anytime!
